Sal Aurora

*** Sal opted out of writing his own bio. Rather this was submitted as a collaborative effort from those who know him best.

AWESOME is the word most commonly used by his friends to describe Salvatore Aurora. Sal, a New York native, has exploded onto the Los Angeles Restaurant and Bar scene opening renowned hotspots Black Market & Liquor, The Local Peasant, Scopa Italian Roots, and The Chestnut Club, with several more highly-anticipated openings by the end of 2016. His businesses have been featured in many acclaimed publications such as GQ and Los Angeles Magazine, and his philanthropic contributions and involvement have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for organizations such as St. Baldricks and The Boot Ride Campaign.

FAMILY is the most important thing to Sal. Growing up in Long Island with four sisters, Sal learned the importance of family, the value of treating women with respect, and the art of getting in and out of the bathroom in a hurry to avoid confrontation. Taking over the responsibility as man of the house after losing his father to pancreatic cancer is the title he’s most proud of.

FUN describes how Sal lives his life. When he’s not collecting stamps on his passport, Sal enjoys training in mixed martial arts, writing music, playing guitar, and following his favorite sports teams. A graduate of The Ohio State University, Sal is willing to bet that his Alma Mater’s football team is better than yours (also, please don’t bid on him if you’re a Michigan grad). It’s also not uncommon for the DJ to stop the music and hand Sal a mic so that he can get the crowd riled up with his rendition of Sinatra or Kings of Leon. He sings like an Angel. If that’s not enough, if Sal’s physical attributes are more important to you than what’s on the inside, Sal’s calf muscles once won him first prize in a best legs contest.
