Courtney Reum is an innovative eco-entrepreneur with a background in building consumer products brands.
 
At the age of 27, while being bored with his drinking experience, he endeavored to create “a better way to drink” and from that VEEV has become one of the pioneering artisanal brands in the spirits industry. 
 
Prior to starting VEEV Spirits with his brother Carter, Courtney began his career as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs in New York working with such brands as Procter & Gamble, Under Armour and Vitamin Water.    
 
Courtney & Carter have been honored by several entrepreneurial groups such as the “30 Under 30” list, the Inc “500 fastest growing private companies in America,” Richard Branson’s best-selling book “Screw Business as Usual” and most recently the Goldman Sachs Builders + Innovators 100 “Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs” of 2014 & again in 2015. They also write a column for Inc magazine and are periodic contributors to the Huffington Post and CNBC.
 
Courtney currently acts as a venture partner, advisor and board member for several operating companies and funds focused on consumer + technology and start-up investing.  
 
Courtney is an active member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO) internationally and locally in Los Angeles through the Bel-Air Chapter. He also serves as one of the Mayor’s Commissioners for the Los Angeles Convention Center & Tourism Authority and is philanthropically involved as a Board Member of the LA Opera and City Year organization helping underserved schools. 
 
Courtney grew up in Chicago and holds a B.A. with distinction (Economics and Philosophy) from Columbia University in New York and is an alumni of Harvard Business School (also the subject of a case study taught in the business school entitled “VEEV on the Rocks”).
